Hi Roxie: When do we find out about the winners?
And I can’t find the rules, is it okay for the story to be submitted elsewhere before the results are announced?
Thanks!
Paulette
Hey Paulette! Great questions…the major thing to point out, the subs closed July 31…did you submit to them before the deadline???
Oh, fun! Too bad I don’t have any animal shorts or poems.
perhaps one will come to you? inspiration hits at odd times, Erin…
Thanks for sharing our anthology Roxie! The animal rescue is such a wonderful one… they help families in need with food and medical in an effort to keep animals in their original homes along with rescueing them from shelters to foster and give them more time. I certainly appreciate your sharing this!
Hahahaha! Apparently I need my editor to help me write my own name ;p
too funneee! been there before
My pleasure Angela, happy to give this awesome anthology a shout out!
where do we submit to? website? e-mail? i don’t see it here. thanks for the help.
Hey Rich!
click on the ‘details’ link above, that’ll take you to their page…about the second paragraph down is the email addy to send subs…
namaste
thanks miss. i knew it had to be there, but i wasn’t seeing it.
no prob…glad to help, and let me know when your sub gets accepted
after having read their guidelines, I think the story i had considered submitting probably does not fit what they want. although the short story does involve a dog rescue, it is not the main focus of the story. i’m sure they’ll have others in which the rescue part is more central to the story.
is there a way to eclipse the other parts of the story, making it a shorter version to submit?
i doubt it because it is designed so that you don’t even know it’s about a dog until the last word of the story. i know you’re a very busy woman, but feel free to read it. on my blog, under “shorts” and called “boy.”
I’ll read it as soon as I get a chance, Rich…sounds good!
Hey, a heads-up: if you’ve got your work on your blog, it is considered ‘published’ and venues will not accept it. you may want to remove it from the blog if you’d like to publish it somewhere…
someone really smart told me the same thing yesterday. so you and that smart person are now double smarts. thanks.
hey, glad to be in good company, LOL!
BTW excellent story, just left a comment
No pets in this house, but I always appreciate the opportunities you present to us, and of course, to peruse your blog!! Thank You!
thank you, Claire! And if inspiration hits you, I hope you submit to this venue, they’re a great cause!
Thanks Roxie!
thank you SCB, good luck!
