the pleasure of business

Every time I visit the Grove Park Inn, I am blown away by the sheer beauty of the architecture and grounds. It is hard to say goodbye, but I know I will be back again.

New ownership acquired GPI in May, and I look forward to their upgrades for their centennial next year.

    1. oooh! there’s more, his and hers spa facilities with dry or moist saunas and cold plunge pools with seperate locker rooms with a silent lounge including indoor fireplace, a club floor with no kids allowed and the list goes on and on…love it! don/tcha think the perfect place for a writer’s retreat??? I should do a workshop here πŸ˜‰

    1. all so full of character, every inch has something jam packed with natural rock, boulder fireplaces indoors and out, and they’re adding an infinity pool soon, can’t wait to go back! Thanks Reno! πŸ™‚

  1. Roxie, I’ve never stayed at the Grove Park Inn, but I have attended a conference there. I remember sitting outside on a rock wall and looking out at the vast and breath-taking views and saying something like this, “I don’t even care if I attend the conference. I could sit here all day.” I’d love to go back. Thanks for sharing your photos.

    1. right? it rained some on sunday, but I still had to get outdoors and ramble around the grounds, no matter how many steps, the view’s worth it! and I could sit there for hours just staring, too πŸ™‚

  2. Ahhh, the Grove Park Inn. I did not know that they were under new ownership. Fred and I promised each other that we’d go back soon – it has been awhile – and YES – magnificent looking architecture – and the view – well it’s one of those places where the view even out-awes the place itself. Can’t wait to get back. Thanks for the reminder!!

    1. excellent, they’ll be sprucing it up for next year, you’ll really enoy it whenever you get there! πŸ˜‰ thanks Kim, for spending time here…

    1. leaves the mouth hanging when one first sees it, truly majestic, thanks for coming along on the ride, Mike πŸ™‚ Have an awesome vacation this week!

  3. Roxie! I thought you were leaving us when I read this in my mail: ‘It is hard to say goodbye, but I know I will be back again.’ And only that.
