Sunday Funny: Soaring Spirits

Today I begin my vacation, and to kick it off, I thought Iโ€™d pass along an inspiring, relaxing video.ย Meet Ray Bethel, a multi-talented super senior.

Enjoy, and Iโ€™ll see you all back in about 10 days ๐Ÿ™‚

  1. Beautiful video! Happy happy rest and relaxation Roxie! You are going to rest, right? I have this sense about how your mind works (maybe) so I wish for you many carefree thoughts and pleasures of enjoyment during your vacation! ๐Ÿ™‚

    • I did, rest that is, hardly answered email, didn’t read a manuscript, shhhh…and had tremendous fun plus rekindled my muse. Thanks Penny, yes, carefree thoughts finally kicked in ๐Ÿ™‚

  2. What a delight to find this after having worked outside in the garden. The soothing music, and gracefulness of the flying kites is magical. I Googled Ray Bethell the first time I saw and heard this wondrous video.

Did you know that he is deaf? And his wife of 55 years or so has Alzheimers. How fortunate we are to enjoy this amazing display of ‘giving’ to others, though he’s lost his hearing and his wife’s memories of him.

How enchanting – thank you for sharing this with us, especially on your very first day of vacation! You too, are a ‘giver’ and know that we all appreciate you!!

  3. Hey Roxie !! Have a great holiday and don’t do anything I wouldn’t do ๐Ÿ˜‰ Ralph xox ๐Ÿ˜€

I recommend everyone to watch the skill of this man flying three high performance kites by himself and the landing of the final kite is just amazing. ๐Ÿ˜€
